hot-Tanning fail: Bodybuilder doesn’t quite cover everything in his quest for bronze


The first shots from the set of "Avengers 2" are in, and wow ... is that a bold new direction for the Hulk, or what?
Wait, no. That's not right. (In more ways than one.) The photo above — unretouched, as you'll see below — is from the Arnold Classic Europe, a fitness expo/competition held this past weekend and started by none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger himself. The Governator, as you may know, got his start in bodybuilding, and he's always preached fitness and exercise, even in its most bizarre versions.
So, uh, without being too indiscreet: just what the heck happened here? Well, bodybuilders tend to apply tanning product with a trowel, darkening their skin in an effort to enhance definition of all those muscles that the rest of us probably don't even have. Sure, it looks fairly ridiculous, but we're not going to tell him that.
As you can see in the video below, taken at the festival, the two-tone skin look isn't unique to our unidentified competitor above.
