The meaning of the given name Preve is to prove to the local vehicle market that Proton keen on improve especially in term of quality, they want to change the people by introducing this world class 2012 model – Proton Preve.

The original planned name was ‘prove’ but for commercial purpose Proton call it “prae-vae”.
